Hello Friend,

Thanks for stopping by our website! Our pocket shooters are uniquely designed for those who love to roam field and forest. They are small enough to always have with you, but serious enough to get the job done.

They excel at small game hunting, target shooting, and plinking fun. Our completely original designs, special ergonomic styling, and the A+ signature "pinkie grip hole" combine to create extreme comfort and repeatable accuracy. Each is handcrafted here in our workshop from choice hardwoods or birch multiplex, and coated with four applications of clear finish for lasting durability!

We also have an excellent line of replacement bands, extras, accessories and other useful outdoor tools for your excursions.

I look forward to making some great slingshots and other outdoor gear for you and yours!!

All the Best,

Perry A. Adkisson  :0)

Artisan's Profile:
I have been happily married for 25 years to a great woman, and we have two wonderful teenage sons. I've always been a lover of just about anything outdoors.  I grew up fishin' and huntin' every chance I got in West Texas. My Dad's tales of the Depression Years survival hunting that he and his brothers did with slingshots made from forked sticks and red inner-tube rubber inspired my imagination and interests early on.  Somehow the ability to effectively harvest small game with such a simple tool always amazed and appealed to me.

Slingshots are a true bit of nostalgic "Americana" to me that still has usefulness today.  I've been making and shooting slingshots for most of my life.  As a middle aged man, I am proud to say "I still love playing with my slingshots." and fortunately, so does my wife and kids.  I love to hunt, but frankly I shoot more tin cans nowadays than anything else.  I take great joy in making and selling quality wood slingshots and related items to those who enjoy shooting and the outdoors too.  A+ Slingshots is a small, part-time "cottage industry" that I run from my home.

This side business allows me to serve as Pastor to a small but emerging church in Southern California.

Thanks for visiting my site.  I look forward to making a slingshot just for you!!!

God Bless! ><>

"I shot my maple PS-1 last night and absolutely love it. First of all, your craftsmanship is top notch. I can tell you really put some time into it. The finish is smooth and shiny, bringing out the natural beauty of the wood . I am very impressed with the bands, which as you stated in the paperwork are quite capable of shooting heavy steel and lead balls. I have shot around 200 rounds without any sign of deterioration, so they are quite durable. The pouch is also a perfect size, shape and suppleness . I got (chronograph) readings of between 200 and 215 fps shooting 3/8" steel and 1/2" marbles . I could shoot this thing all day (and very well may) without any real pain. I am honored to have #002." ~ Alex (USA)

"Got mine today, oh boy this guys kit is good! As a professional catapulteer I can highly recommend these!" ~ Justin (Fish) of Hunter Catapults (UK)

"My maple pocket shooter arrived today, I think it's got to be the best slingshot I've ever used. Brilliant design, it fits perfectly in your hand, fantastic to shoot. I've been shooting pegs off the clothes line at 20 meters. Beautiful finish, fantastic craftsmanship. If anyone is looking to buy a slingshot, this would be the one to go for." ~ Martin (UK)

"My bamboo beauty arrived today! WOW my friend….she is a true beauty! Great size…wonderful workmanship, I can't wait to take her out tomorrow. Thanks so much for your service and incredible slingshot!" ~ Steve (USA)

"Definitely a nice shooting slingshot, very ergonomic and packs quite a wallop with the double band setup. The maple one I have from you is a very nice piece indeed." ~ Aeryck (USA)

"If you don't have one of these.......you are seriously missing out! My bamboo is one of my favorites to shoot with...and the one I reach for most." ~ Steve (USA)

"I received your signed PS-1 in Oak wood today. I must confess, that after reading all of the positive feedback, my expectations were high. You have met those expectations. It is a beautiful shooter, with nice workmanship and finish...and fits in the pocket very handily. I have it with me here at work; it is so small and light to be unnoticeable. I'm sure this little gem will be the cause of early demise of more than one squirrel. Continued success to you." ~ Paul (USA)

"Perry, I just want to say WOW!, what a beautiful piece of art you sent me, I could not be more pleased with the PS-1. This is the first non-wrist rocket type slingshot that I have owned, and I don't think I will go back, in fact I would appreciate it if you would make me another." ~ Chuck (USA)

"Hey Perry received my package (multiplex pocket shooter and other items) today, WOW I am impressed, beautiful work. I took a few shots but need to set up a trap and proper range to work it out. The bands on the sling feel great, I will let you know how I progress. Thanks for the extra bands. I do not regret making the decision to go with a pro, your workmanship and customer service are tops!" ~ Phil (USA) 6/4/2010

"Perry... I gotta tell you -- this thing is great! (PS-2) It's awesome! It has made a real good shooter out of me, overnight.

Went out this morning and started shoot at the can again at ten yards. I was hitting it about 90% of the time over about 15-20 shots. Never did that before. So I moved back to 15 yard and after a few misses, began hitting over 70% of the time.
I might add that I put mixed ammo in my bag, too. I was randomly shooting 5/8 marbles, 3/8 steel, and 7/16 steel. Didn't matter. I wonder if I was using just one size how good I would've been shooting?

An even though the bands are kinda strong, (Original Double Bands) my hand doesn't seem to mind at all. From a shooting standpoint, this is absolutely the best slingshot I own! I don't think there is ANY room for improvement... A+ fan for life!" ~ Bill (USA) 6/21/2010
